The LPG-fuelled irons are eco-friendly and have no side-effects, compared to conventional coal-fired iron boxes. In the conventional variety, launderers inhale carbon dioxide emitted by it for a prolonged duration, resulting in respiratory problems.
Moreover, it is cost-effective. Pressing one garment is about one-third that of the coal-fired box and one-sixth of an electric iron’s cost.
There is more. For instance, a launderer can iron 1,100 garments using a 5-kg cylinder and 4,500 with a 19-kg commercial cylinder.
